Western Indian Gaming Conference to Be Held Next Week

The California Nations Indian Gaming Association will be holding their 23rd annual Western Indian Gaming Conference and trade show next week from February 6 through 8 at the Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

The WIGC and trade show has proven to be one of the most informative conferences in Indian Country. Tribal leaders, regulators, industry professionals and policy makers, including candidates for public office, will be in attendance.

Among those confirmed to attend the gubernatorial candidate forum on February 8 are Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, former Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa, Assemblyman Travis Allen and former Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin.

CNIGA chairman Steve Stallings will deliver the State of the Tribal Nations address on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

Forums on a variety of subjects including sports wagering and state and federal regulatory issues will be featured in panel discussions throughout the conference.

A state-of-the-art tradeshow will feature a variety of industry leaders and innovators showing off their latest wares.
